Quiz Bowl

Quiz Bowl is an academic competition in which our school team competes against other schools in the Lancaster-Lebanon league.  Quiz Bowl will meet after school every TUESDAY beginning September 27.  Students will need to qualify to participate in the matches beginning in January and ending in March.  Matches are generally held on Tuesday afternoons.  If you are interested in participating, please complete this FORM.

Reading Olympics

Reading Olympics teams are forming during September.  Students interested in participating should sign up in the Learning Center OR online using this LINK.  Team members are invited to crash and read every Thursday during FLEX period. Please sign out of FLEX before reporting to the Learning Center.

Spelling Bee

Students in grades 6 – 8 are invited to sign up for our school spelling bee during September.  Students interested in participating should sign up online using this FORM. The format for the school spelling bee will be based on the number of students who wish to participate.  The school-wide bee will be held between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The winner(s) will be eligible to participate in our regional spelling bee sponsored by WITF.

MADCom

Do you have skills in animation, 3D design, programming, web page design, graphic design, or digital movies? If so, MADCom may be a competition of interest.  Students will select an area of interest and form teams. Learn more about MADCom at MADCom.

Math 24 Challenge

Math 24 is an academic competition held each May. Students in grades 6 – 8 are eligible to compete. Students will compete individually. Students will qualify to compete against other schools. Practice sessions will be held in the Learning Center during FLEX periods beginning in January. Please check the poster in the Learning Center.

Chess

Do you play chess? If you are interested in some open play, sessions will be held in the Learning Center during FLEX periods on Wednesdays beginning in October. Please check the poster in the Learning Center. Players may be invited to compete in a school tournament in spring. Wednesday chess play will continue through the spring.
